Industrial
accidents need to be avoided as they are costly to companies and the
state, and it is not good for the person injured or killed in such
accidents, or for their family members who are relying on the worker to
provide an income.
There are many Safe Working Practices that may be considered the “norm”, but are hardly ever followed or enforced.
Management,
supervisors as well as the workforce need to be aware of the different
Health and Safety Regulations that are in force in every country, which
are mandatory and which are considered to be just good practice. Best Practice should always encompass more than the basic requirements, to ensure lower risks for everyone.
This module consists of a ± 15 minute Video module, Course Notes and a completion Quiz at the end. Those with some background knowledge and understanding, or doing a refresher course, will complete the module in a much shorter period.
